Daniel Field – Head Professional
Daniel has been a professional golfer since 1998 and the Head Professional at East Herts Golf Club since 2006. Since turning Professional Daniel has played on the Euro Pro,Challenge Tour, the ANZ tour and regularly plays in tournaments his PGA region. He has won various Pro-Ams and tournaments including the Head Professional Championship in 2007, which was played at The Grove where he shot an impressive 67! At East Herts Golf Club Daniel provides a fully stocked and staffed professional shop. He also provides individual and group tuition, playing lessons, as well as providing golf instruction at Corporate Golf Days.

Ashley Smith – Head Assistant Professional
Ashley has been a member of the professional team since 2015 and in 2022 he became a fully Qualified PGA Professional. He loves to play tournament golf, is an Ambassador for Team Titleist but he enjoys coaching anyone who comes to him for help. Ashley is a bit of a nerd when it comes to fittings and loves working out the best combination of head and shaft for all his customers and truly is a fantastic fitter.
Daniel Robson – Assistant Trainee
Daniel Robson Joined the Pro Shop in 2023. He is currently completing the PGA training degree at Birmingham University. Daniel has a passion to learn and wants to be able to do more group lesson not only for the juniors but adults and is looking to do some individual lessons and fitting in the future. He is now looking to at some coaching to expand his knowledge through these lessons to not only improve golfers but also to improve his teaching skills but also getting to know members better.
Ian Taylor – PGA Professional
Ian is a proud PGA Professional with nearly 20 years experience in the industry. Currently he is a high handicap specialist coach helping golfers that struggle to break 100 and supports them to consistently shoot in the 90’s, 80’s and in some cases, even into the 70’s. He is proud to have helped so many players get around the course in less shots, get far more enjoyment from their game and grow in on course confidence so they cant start saying yes to those golf opportunities they’ve previously declined.
Away from golf, Ian is a huge Tottenham Hotspurs fan, enjoys spending time with his two boys & loves to travel.
