Captains Day in aid of Headway
The sun has set on Saturdays East Herts Charity Day and what a day it was!
We are delighted to say it’s a record amount!!! Over £21’000 raised for Headway, the Brain Injury Association

Captain’s Prize
With 130 members taking part in Andy McFayden’s Captains Day, the scene was set for plenty of fun and the usual competitive edge to be crowned winners of the Captain’s Prize.
The competition was an 18-hole Betterball Stableford, played on the hottest day of the year, with temperatures reaching 32 degrees. This didn’t bother our eventual winners, Trevor Hoppitt and Phil Swan.
These two have over 100 years of membership between them at the club, so they know the course pretty well. It would appear that having extensive knowledge of the course was a distinct advantage that day, as our runners up, John Watts & Steve Blight, also have over 100 years’ membership between them!

Club Captain Andy McFayden, supported by his family, made sure everyone was well looked after with plenty of complimentary food and drink throughout the day.
With a full clubhouse staying for the presentation, Andy thanked everyone involved for making his Captain’s Day such a memorable one.
